It’s flu season again, and my doctors are reminding me to get my flu shot. I don’t like to get a flu shot. I am not afraid of needles, but I am afraid of just what they put in that shot.
Many vaccines contain mercury in them and that just scares me. If a drop of mercury falls from its container in a classroom, the entire school is closed and decontaminated. But it’s okay to inject that crap into people, especially little children.
My pulmonologist knows I don’t like to get the shot, and usually he ambushes me in his office and gives it to me. This year, since I am stabilized, I don’t have to go to the doctors for months at a time. My last appointment with my pulmonologist was before the flu shots were available, and I don’t go back until the end of the year, so I got away.
The last appointment I had he reminded me to get my flu shot this month and I gave him my “we’ll see” look. He then made it a point to remind me that if I get a full blown flu, it could kill me. Nice move doc!
With some trepidation, I will go and get my shot next week, because my immune system is so suppressed now, but I still don’t trust them. I don’t!
