It’s Thanksgiving Day here in the US. It is the only holiday that all Americans celebrate together despite religions or race. It is a day for giving thanks. And I have a lot to be thankful for today and every day.
Number one is my wife. She is my rock. Without her I would not be here today for sure. She has been at my side for the past twenty eight years and never flinched. A stronger more loving person I have never met. She is truly my best friend.
I am also thankful for all my “babies”, alive and past. There is nothing like the unconditional love given to you by our four legged companions, canine and feline. You can be having the shitiest day, be in the grumpiest mood and they will still wag an purr when they see you. When you come home from your surgeries, they curl up right next to you for hours and never leave your side. They love you for who you are. Nothing more nothing less.
My family comes in next. Got to love them. They may drive you crazy at times and you wonder just how much on a hurry you were to come to this planet to have chosen them. But I would not be the person that I am today were it not for them.
I am also thankful for so much more and to so many more people than I can list here, and to everyone and everything else I will not list here I say thank you.
I wish everyone a happy and peaceful day today and every day. And for all of those on dietary restrictions, just remember that when you enjoy those few minutes of indulgence, just think about the hours, days or even weeks of pain from it. Just be thankful you can refuse it. Peace.
