Driving Me Crazy

Yesterday, driving back from my vet with one of our babies, I encountered a surprise snow storm. There was literally white out conditions. It was brief, but it was on a hilly portion of the highway, and that’s why we have an SUV. I was feeling fine, confident, unperturbed. Then there a ding and the ABS light came on. Another ding and the traction control light came on. Yet another ding and the stabilitrack light came on. On a highway, in heavy snow, and no antilock brakes, no traction control and no stabilitrack.

I called my dealer and they can “squeeze me in” on Saturday! That pissed me off. I need it in today. The car is only two years old and still in warranty. So we decided to get a new car.

Now we have the headache of deciding if to buy another SUV (most are just the size of a bus now) or get a car. Choices, decisions, options! All of it is driving me crazy. Off to see cars today.

So that’s my rant for today. It has nothing to do with sarcoidosis, heart failure, pulmonary hypertension or any thing medical. But it’s still part of my life, and all those things are still with me while my normal life goes on. Maybe I should call this post “Buying a new car with sarcoidosis” to appease my critics when my posts stray away from sarcoidosis etc. Oh yes, you know who you are!
