I don’t use the post a day ideas for posts, but yesterday’s topic “Do you want to live forever?” had me thinking about people and the fear of death.

When you think of it, we are born to die. From the day we are born we begin the process of death. Some take longer than others, but all in all, after the years of gathering and collecting, we are meant to die. Sure we are here to pave the way for future generations, blah, blah, blah, but what all the religions and everything else prepares you for is to die. Women spend billions on trying to defy age. People pull and tuck to look younger and in the end, everybody is going to die.

I have thought about living forever, but if that were to happen, then what’s our purpose? If we are going to be here forever, we don’t need to pave the way for future generations, so there is no need for reproduction and therefore no need for sex. Really, a world without sex? Can’t picture it. The world revolves around it. Nations are built and fall for it.

So to answer the question, no, I don’t want to live forever.
