One thing that I have learned to do and really look forward to everyday, is to take a nap. For health reasons, it is really good for you, and it is something I never did before because I always felt that I would “miss something”. I try to nap for no more than 30 minutes, with 20 minutes being ideal. One thing I dislike is a standard alarm clock that just blares out and makes you literally jump out of bed. I can attest to its gentle awakening. I recently read a study that regular alarm clocks with their loud buzzers and crazy bells actually increase the body’s stress levels, instantly. Not exactly what you need the first thing in the morning. Also, the same article preached the advantage of taking a nap during the day to relieve stress and improve health.
Sometimes, I need to drive my wife to certain appointments, and because of my compromised immune system, I do not wait in waiting rooms if I can avoid it, so I wait in the car. I look forward to these “waiting” times, especially if I know I will not be able to go home to squeeze in a nap, so I can take one in the car. That’s where my next favorite product comes in.
