I received a call from my Sarcoidosis doctor today that my white blood count is still low for a second time, so he’s taking me off of Hydroxycholoroquine, aka Plaquenil.
I started taking the drug in January 2008, and I wondered if there would be any withdrawal effect coming off this drug after four years, since as of today, I am coming off of it cold turkey, no tapering like prednisone. Here us what I could find on hydroxychloroquine withdrawal.
