If you are on oxygen therapy, you know how it feels when you wake in the morning and your nasal passages are dry and for lack of a better term, crusty. They feel clogged and it can sometimes hurt. In my case, because I am on blood thinners, it can be a little bloody too. Yes, oxygen therapy, as innocent as neutral as it appears, has its side effects also.
My wife introduced me to this product called Ayr Saline Nasal Gel. It comes in a gel in a tube, or as a “gel spray”. The gel spray I also tried, but it still runs out of your nose. The saline gel stays put, coats the nasal passage and you don’t get that dry feeling in the morning or if you have to wear your oxygen during the day.
I like it, and it works for me. It is available in almost any drug store.
I do not have any affiliation or am I being compensated by the company that produces this product.
