I had my defibrillator implanted in 2007 and the elctrophysio cardiologist that did the implantation moved out to California and a new doctor took over his practice. When I had my defibrillator interrogated on Sunday night, it revealed that since January I had 733 arrhythmias, which is mind blowing, since the most I had in a three month period previously was 2.
As a result, my cardiologist started me on a new medication, but he also wanted my defibrillator to be directly interrogated to make sure that the defibrillator is not causing this sudden surge of arrhythmias. The interrogation on Sunday I did myself remotely.
I called the new electrophysio cardiologist’s office today to see if I could get an appointment on Monday to have the ICD checked, and was told that he was leaving early on Monday. I asked for either Tuesday or Wednesday instead and was told that he only sees patients on Mondays. Eh? That is not convenient to me at all. I need to be able to see a doctor when I want to see them, and a doctor only working one day a week is pretty crazy. If he is only seeing patients one day a week, can you imagine the wait list?
I decided to get around this issue, I need to get a new electrophysio cardiologist, so here I go again looking for a new doctor.
They need to take a persons life more seriously nowdays.
