It is said that in order for something to become a habit, you need to repeat it every day for 28 days for the brain to set it in. And so, once every month, I begin something new that I call “28 Days”. All too often in blogs and tweets and Facebook pages dedicated to chronic diseases, the information can be negative and daunting, causing one to plummet into a negative way of looking at life in general. I want to change that by implanting a positive thought every day for 28 days each month that would become a positive habit and way of looking at life.
The best way I could think of doing this is to do it via Twitter and Facebook. Every morning, starting September 1st at 8:00 am, I will tweet and post to Facebook a positive affirmation that you can read everyday for 28 days, and hopefully, that thought would become a habit and you would eventually carry that positive thought with you for the rest of your journey.
If you have a twitter account you can follow me at right, or like my Facebook page right below the twitter feed on right, and receive these positive affirmations for the first 28 days of every month.
If you have an idea for an affirmation, feel free to send me your suggestions.
The affirmation for September’s 28 days is:
As I draw my first conscious breath of the day, before anything else, I say “Thank you. Thank you for another day”
On August 31st, I will post a reminder.
