This is a Blogging A to Z Challenge Post

My blog started to pick up a little more traffic than usual. I have a small blog, and get an average of about one hundred visitors a day passing through here. But there is one post that I made that was, and still is my most visited post ever, garnering over five hundred views in one day.

That was a post about Michael Clark Duncan, the actor's death, and that his autopsy showed that he had cardiac sarcoidosis. I posted that in September 2012, but for some reason, this week, people have been flocking back to that post.

This week, in two days, that post had over twelve hundred views! I don't know what the issue was with Mr. Duncan that had everybody flocking back here, but with the throngs of viewers came the spammers. I received hundreds of spam comments on the post, which thankfully WordPress filtered out most of.

But there a good bit of spammers that are now getting pretty savy and made it through the spam filters to me. And they are cleverly wording their spam comments saying that they like the content of the post, that it relates so much to what they were looking for and they hope that I post more posts like that.

I know that they are spam because the site they are posting from usually is a medical supply or other supply site. And the reference of the post usually has nothing to do with what the actual post subject is.

It is times like these that I am glad that my blog is a small blog, because I only have so much time a day I can dedicate to it, and to go through comments with these spammers is a huge waste of time.
