Above Everything Else, Always Listen To Yourself

Life with a chronic illness is sometimes confusing, plain and simple. You have all these voices coming at you in different directions telling you many different things. If you are like me with different specialists for each condition, they all try to work together, but they all have their own separate opinions, and you don't know who to listen to.

When you have all these different opinions coming your way, the one thing you always have to remember is that you always have the final say. It's your body, your life. If something just does not feel right, then always follow your gut feelings. Do your own research. You are your only healer.

Never, ever be afraid to question a doctor. There are a lot of doctors out there that ride a really high horse and think the rest of the world should just do as they say without question. If I ever come across a doctor with an attitude, I fire them. Remember, they work for you. They are not doing you a favor. They are being paid by you to provide you with a service. If you don't like what they have to say, take your business elsewhere.
