Sharing My World 2015 – Week #3

Here is my weekly contribution to Cee's Photography challenge, Share Your World

Olivia Newton John - Still Looking Fine In Her 60s

Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?

Olivia Newton John. First off, I have been a fan of her music since I was 9 years old, long before she got famous in Grease. I remember one day sitting in front of the TV and seeing this young woman with the most caring and genuine face with the most beautiful voice. I still have that song, “If not for you” on my iPhone. Actually, I have almost all of her albums and over 180 of her songs on my iPhone. More than that, she is one of the “quiet” warriors. She does a heck of a lot for the environment and she helped build a hospital with alternative and complimentary treatments for cancer. She works tirelessly promoting both, and at the age of 67 is still recording and touring and still looks fine. A career spanning so many years, and so many causes is bound to be great dinner conversation.

When did you last sing to yourself? To someone else?

Just now. I sing all the time, especially in car. I love music, and a song with a good melody and lyrics. I listen to everything, except for gansta rap, acid rock and that crazy jazz that sounds like every one is tuning their instruments. Oh, and blue grass.

If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one quality or ability, what would it be?

Oh, I think about this all the time. Which one? Oh which? No. I'm Kidding. Not all the time. That would be crazy. Just once a day. I am not going with the speak a language or play an instrument thing. I want something that can change the world for the better. I think the one that I would love is the ability to slow down time just a bit. There was this sitcom back in the nineties where this girl had the ability to stop time for one minute at a time. You know how much you can do in one whole minute? I would prefer maybe five minutes though. Is that asking too much?

What, if anything, is too serious to be joked about?

I think everything is game. Well almost. I think maybe murder and rape are off the table on that, unless you are joking about the murderer or rapist.
