What is it about families that it seems no one can ever really get along? All families except my wife’s. Everybody in her family gets along so unbelievably, As a matter of fact, I stayed her family, not mine went I went back. When I went back to my birth land last week i tried my best to avoid different family members so as not to get involved in an on going family drama, but it seems everybody was just waiting for me to get back and drop it all on my lap.
I diplomatically set everybody straight without really getting involved, and cleaned up the mess to the best of my abilities, but today I received an email that just plunges me right back in the thick of things. Sometimes I wonder just what the hell i was thinking before I came to this planet, when I was presented the family I have and told them, yep, sure, I’ll take them on.
Right now I just want to pull the plug on my computer, turn off my cell phone and rip my land line phone right out of the wall.
Life As An Anomaly 
Your wife’s family is a blessing! And an illustration of how things can be. You would be amazed how that will be influencing you. My mantra is “I can’t control what other people do or say to me, but I can ALWAYS control the way I respond to it!” Good luck!!

Thanks so much. My wife’s family feels more like family and treat me more like family than my own. So true on response. I just stay as neutral as I can.

Well you know what they say. We can choose our friends, but with family members it’s just luck of the draw.
