As I wrote before, Olivia Newton John’s music is basically the playlist to my life. Every night, I listen to this particular song just before going to sleep. It is one of three songs on my “Olivia Go To Sleep” playlist. This particular song is so poignant to everything in my life and living with the disease of sarcoidosis.
Surviving and thriving a chronic illness is 99% positivity and 1% everything else and her music helps to get me there.

Here are the lyrics;
And when the shadow descend again
Give me the eyes To see
And when the silence Stills my lips
Give me the words To speak
Accept the things I can’t change
And change the things I still can
Give me the wisdom to know the difference
Grant me serenity
Grant me Serenity
And when the river is a wall of water
Give me the strength To recede
And when twilight hides the horizon
Give me the faith To believe
Accept the things I can’t change
And change the things I still can
Give me the wisdom to know the difference
Grant me serenity
Grant me Serenity
Accept the things I can’t change
And change the things I still can
Give me the wisdom to know the difference
Grant me serenity – and I’ll see eternity
Grant me Serenity

I love her! She has beaten a lot of health issues herself. 😊

Yes she has and her later music reflects that.
